Dao Needling: A Newer Technique for Modern Healing

In Cimarron, New Mexico, I offer Dao Needling, an advanced acupuncture technique developed by a Physical Therapist/Acupuncturist. This method uses a unique type of needle with a specifically designed edge that allows for a different penetration into the skin. The mechanisms involved are similar to Biomedical Acupuncture, where the needle creates a lesion in the soft tissue that then releases cytokine/chemokine and neuropeptides to initiate local acute inflammation which activates local blood circulation.

What is Dao Needling?

Dao Needling involves quick insertion of needles into very shallow and more focused areas of the body mapped out by the practitioner to stimulate the flow of Qi and restore balance within the body. It is a form of acupuncture using needles in a different way that targets both physical release and posture issues that may cause pain and/or organ imbalances. This treatment is best for chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions.

Benefits of Dao Needling

  1. Holistic Healing: Addresses both physical and structural aspects of health.

  2. Enhanced Structural Support: Boosts energy levels, reduces chronic pain (esp. associated with structural issues) and supports overall well-being.

Who Can Benefit from Dao Needling?

Dao Needling is suitable for individuals with chronic pain seeking a comprehensive approach to health and wellness. It is particularly beneficial for those dealing with chronic pain and musculoskeletal conditions.
